Euro NCAP

The first tests started in 1997 years

Euro NCAP has did the 5 star safety rating system to help consumers, their families, and businesses compare vehicles more easily and to help them identify the safest choice for their needs.

The safety rating is determined from a series of vehicle tests, designed and carried out by Euro NCAP. These tests represent, in a simplified way, important real life accident scenarios that could result in injured or killed car occupants or other road users.

The More Stars, The Better

The number of stars reflects how well the car performs in Euro NCAP tests

The 5 star safety rating system continuously evolves as older technology matures and new innovations become available. This means that tests are updated regularly, new tests are added to the system and star levels adjusted.

The following provides some general information as to what safety performance the stars refer to in today's system.

5 star safety: Overall excellent perdormance in crash protection and well equipped with comprehensive and robust crash avoidance technology.

4 star safety; Overall good performance in crash protection and all round; additional crash avoidance technology may be present.

3 star safety; At least average occupant protection but not always equipped with the latest crash avoidance features.

2 star safety; Nominal crash protection but lacking crash avoidance technology

1 star safety; Marginal crash protection and little in the way of crash avoidance technology

0 star safety; Meeting type - approval standards so can legally be sold but lacking critical modern safety technology.

OUR SUGGESTIONS

Do you know what tests these stars are made width?

Because most people think like

My car got 5 stars from Euro NCAP so it's very solid

I can do whatever speed I want on the roads, even if there is an accident, nothing will happen to my car and its contents.

That's why we say be very careful !

Because reality is not what you think it is

You ask why?

There are 3 types of crash tests on cars

1) In direct crash test, to a fixed mast, at 29 km/h

2) In the side crash test, a barrier hits the driver's side of the vehicle at 50 km/h

3) In the frontal crash is the test with 40% of the width of the nose it is made to a fixed place at a speed of 64 km/h

Now when you see the speeds in these tests, your thoughts are suddenly confused, rihgt?

Some on the highways, just because my car is solid anyway it can exceed 120 km/h and go up to 180 km/h.

Most people think that the tests of cars are done at a speed of 120 km/h, but unfortunately it is not

We wrote down the speeds used in the tests, samples 29 and 50 km/h

After this reading this analysis article, think twice before pressing the gas pedal of your car
